Teeth can darken due to a variety of reasons ranging from diet, lifestyle and ageing. Research and clinical studies indicate that whitening under the supervision of a dentist is safe for teeth and gums.
At the initial appointment teeth are assessed to ensure their suitability for this process. An impression of the teeth is taken to allow for the production of a custom-made gel holding appliance.
The appliances are fitted at the next visit and specific instructions given on how to administer the gel. Subsequent visits will be made to monitor the progress. Maximum results are generally seen in 10-14 days.
